The Nowells contacted me about doing their children's portraits as a present for their grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. How sweet is that?

This group was cracking me up during our session. The weather was the hottest and most muggy it's been in awhile, and they were all such troopers. Don't they look like they belong in some sort of Ralph Lauren ad? 

I, however, looked... to put it nicely... 'slightly less composed' by the end of our session (as if I'd been wandering around a desert for a few weeks and sticking forks in electrical sockets... my hair doesn't care much for humidity ). But that's a different story.
